What is the official name of the show?
The official name of the show is Connectivity Expo, Connect (X) for short. Connectivity Expo is replacing the Wireless Infrastructure Show and is hosted by the Wireless Infrastructure Association.
What does WIA represent?
The Wireless Infrastructure Association represents the businesses that develop, build, own and operate the nation’s wireless infrastructure.
Members include wireless carriers, infrastructure providers, and professional services firms that collectively own and operate telecommunications facilities around the globe. Through public affairs and advocacy efforts – on the local, state and federal level – WIA works to support the widespread deployment of wireless infrastructure in order to enable wireless broadband everywhere.
When will the exhibit hall be open?
The exhibit hall will be open on Tuesday, October 5 and Wednesday, October 6 for 6 hours each day.

Yes, all meeting rooms may only be accessed by Connect (X) passholders.
How do I book a hotel room?
A group rate has been arranged at the Hyatt Regency Orlando for the 2021 Connectivity Expo. Book online to secure the nightly group rate of $229.

Where will Connect (X) take place?
The Hyatt Regency, Orlando will host the 2021 Connectivity Expo.
How do I register as a media representative?
Members of the trade or associated media are invited to attend Connect (X) free of charge. Media registration requires an access code. If you believe you meet the criteria for media accreditation and qualify for a media pass, please contact Maggie Langan, and upon approval by Show Management, you will be e-mailed an access code.
If you plan to register as a media representative onsite, you must first qualify and you will be asked to present a photo ID along with one of the following credentials:
- Business card from qualifying publication
- Listing of name and title on masthead of qualifying publication
- Recent copy of by-lined article or newsletter
- Freelance writers, artists or those without titles on their business card must have a letter of authorization, on letterhead, from the editor of the publication for which you are writing or contributing to a story.
Who qualifies for media credentials?
To qualify for media credentials, you must be an editor, publisher, staff reporter, or television camera crew, from any of the following news organizations: Trade Publication, Television Station, Consumer Publication, Newspaper, National Publication, Wire Service, Radio Station, Web magazine.
NOTE: Some individuals (including freelance writers who are not on a specific assignment, non-editorial personnel from media organizations, and representatives from marketing, advertising and PR organizations) may not be eligible for media credentials. They must register as a general attendee and pay the conference registration fee.
How will I know if my request for media registration has been approved?
You will receive an e-mail confirming or denying your registration request within 48 hours.
I didn’t receive a confirmation. Am I registered?
If you completed the online registration form and do not receive notification via e-mail within 48 hours, please contact Maggie Langan (703-543-9616) between the hours of 9:30 am to 5:30 pm EST.
Where do I pick up my badge?
Badges will be available at the Connectivity Expo registration desk located in the Hyatt Regency.
What is the Connectivity Expo policy on images and video?
Recording, filming, taping with video equipment on the Connectivity Expo grounds is only allowed under the following conditions:
- Media outlet must receive advanced permission from Show Management AND the exhibitor being recorded.
- Exhibitors are responsible for securing any and all necessary releases for any performances, displays or other uses of copyrighted works, patented inventions or other intellectual property.
- Show Management is authorized to record and use audio/visual materials recorded at the Show for all promotional materials directly related to the promotion of future Connectivity Expo and related events.
- Radio and television reporters and cameramen must obtain an official Press Badge at the Connect (X) registration desk located in the Hyatt Regency, Orlando.
- Footage is truly for editorial purposes.
- Footage will not be resold or used as a means for profit generation.
- Filming/Photography prior to the show floor opening interferes with exhibit operations and will not be permitted.
Only official members of the media with advance permission from Show Management will be allowed to film/tape on the show floor during exhibit hours. If you plan to have a TV, radio or video crew with you, a shot list must be provided in advance for approval by Show Management. Can registered media attend conference sessions?
Media registration includes complimentary registration to the conference, which will feature general sessions and concurrent sessions in seven distinct tracks. View more information about conference tracks and partner programs.

How do I pay for my exhibit space?
We accept credit card, wire transfer, and check payments for booth space.
How can I pay my outstanding balance?

When will I receive my invoice?
You will receive an invoice for your booth space within two business days of contract receipt or you may visit this link to select your booth and pay via credit card.
My company is a WIA or HetNet Forum member and exhibiting at Connectivity Expo. What benefits are we entitled to?
WIA and HetNet Forum members pay $35 per square foot of exhibit booth space.
How do I get information and order forms for the things we’ll need in our booth?

How do we register our booth personnel?
Once you have purchased a sponsorship or booth space, you will receive a confirmation email with access to our Sponsor and Exhibitor portal. You will register your booth personnel on the Staff tab of the portal.

How many complimentary badges do we have?
Exhibitors will receive five exhibit hall passes per 100 square feet of contracted space.
When will we receive our badges?

When and where is space selection for the 2022 Connectivity Expo?
Space selection for the 2022 Connect (X) will take place during exhibit hall hours on Wednesday, October 6. A member of WIA’s show services team will be distributing exhibitor/sponsor kits for the 2022 event during this time.

Do exhibitors get complimentary passes to conference sessions?
No, exhibitors receive exhibit hall access only. Please review registration options here. If you would like to purchase additional exhibit hall only passes for staff or customers, please contact Maggie Langan for a discounted rate.
Do I need to register myself for Connectivity Expo?
Yes. You will be sent a code that will allow you to register for the event free of charge. Speaker passes may be picked up at registration at any point during Connect (X).
What date and time is my session? Where is it being held?

As a Connectivity Expo speaker, am I permitted access to your press list?
Yes. Please e-mail Maggie Langan for a copy of the press list.
Will there be media present?
Yes. Industry and national press and analysts will be present at the 2021 Connectivity Expo.
Am I required to use the Connectivity Expo slide template for the presentation?
Yes. A copy of the slide template will be available for download before the event.
Can my marketing department distribute handouts and materials during the session?
Yes, as long as your materials do not conflict with the sponsor of the session. Decisions about material distribution will be made by the WIA session facilitator in charge of your particular session.
I’m eager to hear my panel discussion. Where can I get an audiotape?
Media files of select sessions will be available for download following the conclusion of the event.
What A/V equipment will be available in the conference sessions?
A laptop, projector, screen, podium with microphone, and table microphones will be in all sessions.
You requested my headshot and bio. Will they be published in any show materials?
Your headshot and bio will be featured on the Connect (X) website and on the mobile app. Featured speakers will find their information printed in the show guide.
Are there speaker lounges on-site where I can practice my presentation?
Yes. The speaker ready room will be posted on the site closer to the event.
Are laptops provided to panelists for multimedia presentations?
Yes. There will be one laptop in each session room. All presentations must be run through the laptops provided to ensure A/V success.
Does Connectivity Expo cover speaker travel and hotel expenses?
No. Speakers are responsible for their own travel and hotel expenses.
Does Connectivity Expo provide speaker honorariums?
No. Speakers are not paid to participate in Connectivity Expo.
How are speakers selected?
Speakers are selected based on the following criteria: relevance of topic, expertise in field, ability to provide a unique perspective to the audience, and availability to speak at the event.
