Recruiting, training, and maintaining a quality workforce is exceptionally difficult. And wireless infrastructure companies face a lot of competition from other industries that are recruiting from the same available pool of workers. WIA is helping this effort through TIRAP, its apprenticeship program, as well as its Telecommunications Education Center, which provides training, resources and career development. WIA also has a certification program to prepare workers for employment in broadband and 5G. This panel will look at the value of apprenticeships and other avenues for attracting workers and keeping them engaged.
