Mr. Mobley founded FreeCast, Inc in 2011 and has served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman since. FreeCast is the foremost leading software platform in the “super aggregation” of major live broadcast channels, video-on-demand, and pay-per-view streaming services and events, into a single delivery platform to consumers and MDU’s, trademarked “SmartGuide”.
Before founding FreeCast, in 1999 Mr. Mobley formed Nextelligence, Inc., a technology solution and business management expertise provider, of which he is the Chief Executive Officer, a director, and majority shareholder. Within Nextelligence, Mobley along with a foreign team created and applied commercially, today what is known as pre-buffering technology of streaming video. Used globally to this day by millions of people daily, the technology is “instant play” on all consumer video-enabled devices, which disrupted cumbersome video players that often took several minutes to launch video previously, such as RealPlayer and Microsoft Media Player.
Mr. Mobley also was the founder and director of two major online media companies, including MegaMedia Networks Inc and MegaChannels.com which was the first company to stream major motion pictures online for major studios Sony, Warner Bros, Touchstone, Miramax, and others reaching over 800K streams a day in 2000 including box office hits Deep Impact, Twister, and Enemy of State. By volume/date comparison, Yahoo was serving approximately 2.5M searches per day at this same time period and NetFlix would not launch its Video On Demand service until 7 years later.
