Bruce Albright leads Burns & McDonnell’s 4G/5G wireless business line where he is partnering with utilities to help them assess their wireless communication infrastructure and develop a roadmap for making strategic lifecycle business investments. Relying on his extensive sector experience and technical background, he enables his clients to make sound business decisions by providing practical advice on all aspects of projects including total cost of ownership, asset utilization, technology evaluation, throughput for modern utility applications, and long-term operations planning. He is presently deploying private LTE networks across the US – focused on improving system reliability, security and cost efficiency to end-users.
Bruce has more than 30 years of experience in wireless telecommunications systems and has deployed multiple critical infrastructure networks for major utilities and first responders. His team deployed the first utility owned, 1260 site, fully redundant, private LTE network in the US for Southern Linc including the first VoLTE \MC-PTT voice system over an LTE only network. He’s designed and constructed geo-redundant LTE EPC and IMS Cores, data centers, and emergency power systems. His specialties also include MC-PTT, RF engineering, Ethernet backhaul, transport system, site design, construction & installation, cost-reduction strategies and vendor evaluation & management.
Bruce has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama.
