Dr. Chris Townson serves as Chief Executive Officer of DTC Communications and its subsidiaries (Alexandria, TN). He has worked in the telecom industry for more than 27 years, holding C-level, senior management, and frontline roles in operations, information technology, industry relations, government affairs, customer service, and sales, respectively. Chris is President of the Tennessee Broadband Association, Vice President of the Tennessee Rural Cooperative Communications Association, Vice President of iRis Networks, and Secretary of Trilight.
Chris also teaches as Adjunct Professor at Snead State Community College (Boaz, AL), and has served for more than two decades in various church, parachurch, and nonprofit leadership roles. Since 2012, Chris has provided leadership as Executive Vice President of Nehemiah Teams, Inc., a nonprofit mobilization organization. Chris also serves as Elder at The Journey Church (Lebanon, TN).
Chris holds a Doctor of Ministry in Organizational Leadership and Church Growth from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (2020), a Master of Business Administration from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (2006), and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Covenant College (Lookout Mountain, GA, 2000).
Chris and his wife, Melissa, and their two sons reside in Middle Tennessee.
