
Senior Vice President, Emerging Technology
Gary Koerper has over 25 years’ experience in developing technology and businesses in the wireless communications, semiconductor and media industries. He presently runs Charter Communication’s Emerging Technology organization, which leads the company’s technology policy, engineering R&D and engagement in various Mobile and IP Standards bodies. Since joining Charter in 2018, he previously served as Group Vice President, WiFi and Connected Home, developing Spectrum’s Advanced WiFi service, enabling visibility, security and management of Spectrum’s home networks. Prior to Charter, he was SVP of Video Product Development at Comcast where he and his team received Technical Emmys for the creation of integrated video and mobile experiences. As CTO of Motorola Mobility, he was responsible for the development and commercialization of WiMax technology with Sprint and 3GPP-LTE with Verizon. In between senior roles at Fortune 100 companies, he has been a founder and CxO at multiple technology start-ups in wireless and mobile-media. Koerper holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and an MBA at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as an LGO (Leaders for Global Operations) Fellow.
