Marc Powell is a Senior Managing Director with Ernst & Young Infrastructure Advisors, LLC. He leads the US Infrastructure strategy practice, working at the intersection of transportation and emerging technology. In this role, Marc works with clients — especially technology and telecommunications organizations — on project selection, risk assessment, financing and execution. For the past 25 years, he has focused on developing business strategies for investors, constructors and operators who are undertaking large infrastructure investments.
Marc has a deep background in technology and telecommunications. He has worked for most major carriers, equipment makers and many large software companies in the US, Canada and Western Europe. He approaches types of infrastructure investments from the technology angle.
Marc holds a BSc in Engineering Physics from Université Laval in Quebec, Canada; an MS in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and a master’s degree in Economics from the New College of the University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes scholar.
