Tim Last is Vice President & General Manager Americas at Iridium Communications Inc., the only satellite communications company that offers truly global voice and data coverage. In this role, he is responsible for Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing and P&L for the Americas region, as well as the IOT and Aviation Lines of Business at Iridium.  The Americas region includes over 200 of Iridium’s commercial customers, and accounts for over 55% of its customer base. Iridium’s aviation business operates across all vertical markets from Air Transport through General Aviation, and the Iridium IoT portfolio has continued to post double-digit subscriber growth every year since the company went public in 2009. Mr. Last and his team partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to introduce Iridium^® CloudConnect, which is the first and only satellite cloud-based solution offering truly global coverage for IoT applications through AWS. Mr. Last holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications Business from University College London.

In this role, he is responsible for Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing and P&L for the Americas region, as well as the IOT and Aviation Lines of Business at Iridium.  The Americas region includes over 200 of Iridium’s commercial customers, and accounts for over 55% of its subscriber base. Iridium’s aviation business operates across all vertical markets from Air Transport through General Aviation, and the Iridium IoT portfolio has continued to post double-digit subscriber growth every year since the company went public in 2009. Mr. Last’s team manages a wide variety of vertical markets for all Iridium services including Maritime, Aviation, Heavy Equipment OEMs, Transportation, Asset Tracking, Oil & Gas, Energy, Government and Consumer customers. Most recently, Mr. Last and his team partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to introduce Iridium^® CloudConnect, which is the first and only satellite cloud-based solution offering truly global coverage for IoT applications through AWS.

Mr. Last is an executive with nearly 30 years of experience in sales & business development across satellite, IoT/M2M and telecommunications services. Before joining Iridium in January 2012, Mr Last worked as the Business Development Director for M2M solutions at Orbcomm, and prior to that spent 19 years with BT Global Services in a variety of business development & channel management roles across wholesale, government and IT services markets. Mr. Last holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications Business from University College London.
